Prior to joining Optima Partners, Michael spent 17 years specialising in regulatory compliance, holding several senior positions including Partner, Global Chief Compliance Officer & MLRO at BlueBay Asset Management LLP and Managing Director, Chief Compliance Officer at RBC Global Asset Management UK Limited. Michael was a member of the RBC Global Asset Management UK Limited Leadership Team and has extensive management and leadership experience.

Michael has successfully built and managed global compliance teams throughout his career and has extensive experience in managing relationships with global regulators including the FCA, SEC, NFA and CSSF. Michael has a deep and broad knowledge of investment strategies and asset classes, spanning alternative hedge funds to traditional asset management strategies investing in emerging markets and developed markets, fixed income, equities, derivatives, private debt and structured credit.
