Benjamin O-Danso is a Partner at Optima Partners and leads the firm’s UAE practice, with responsibility for the strategic oversight, growth and day-to-day leadership of the local office. He works with investment managers, fund managers, private equity firms and other wholesale financial services businesses seeking to establish, expand or enhance their regulated operations in the UAE.

Prior to assuming leadership responsibility for the UAE office, Benjamin led Optima’s FCA regulatory application practice for wholesale firms, overseeing a high volume of complex applications each year. Benjamin has experience in authorisations, regulatory compliance, governance and compliance infrastructure across the UK, the US and the UAE. He has particular expertise advising alternative investment fund managers and private equity clients on regulatory applications, operating models policies and procedures, compliance monitoring and ongoing regulatory obligations.
